The Winter Immanuel Women’s Ministry fellowship is coming on Saturday, February 6 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the church.  Bring pie or hors d’oeuvres for our dessert time.  Linda Auman will show slides from the Snow Sculpting event in Rockford.

 

A Pasta Extravaganza will be held February 17th from 4:30 – 6:30 pm the church fellowship hall sponsored by the 8th grade students to raise funds for their class trip to Boston.  They will take a free will offering.


BASIC Event: March Event will be a progressive dinner on March 20, 2010.  Adults only please.   Will need host houses.  See sign up sheet in fellowship hall. Questions contact Carol Gray..

Relief Efforts to Haiti
We have been granted the ability to be a collection site for Lutheran Church Charities and the relief effort to Haiti. Also, we will need some volunteers for this.  The collection for the first round ends on the 31st of January and will be collected on the 2nd of February.  There will be collections after this which we can also be a site for. Please bring all donations to Immanuel Lutheran’s South parking lot between the hours of 8:00 A.M and 5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday and Saturday and Sunday 12:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M.  Collection ends on Sunday January 31 at 5:00 P.M.  All donations will be recorded for tax purposes.  We welcome any size donation.  These items will be shipped to a distribution site in Florida and then taken directly to Haiti.  Please take note of the emphasis of canned foods with pop tops.  Any canned item without a pop top will not be able to be sent.

• Bottled water
• Canned food WITH POP TOPS
• Peanut butter
• Dry rice
• Dry beans
• Dishwashing liquid
• Bedding (sheets, pillows, etc.)
• Shovels and tools for rebuilding
• Buckets
• Antibacterial ointment
• Band aids
• Washcloths
• Soap
• Deodorant
• Individual packets of disinfectant wipes
• Tooth brushes
• Tooth paste
• Band-aids
• First aid ointment
• Baby Food
• Plastic Baby Bottles
• Tents (to live in)
